California Fractional Type Ring + Box. Old BU silvertone mini coin/charm/jewelry

Here is a very unusual Pioneer Fractional type ring for sale. It is done in the style of a California Gold coin or token. This lovely piece comes with a red velvet presentation box. It caught our eye while we were unpacking an acquisition of vintage gumball machine novelties. It is the first of this type we have seen!
This vintage piece is believed to have been made in the 1960's or 1970's. Token is undated and features a Liberty Head with Stars obverse. The tiny coin is smaller than a dime. Ring is stamped HONG KONG on the reverse and is made of nonmagnetic silvertone metal. It has an adjustable band and weighs one gram.
This ring is in Gem Brilliant Uncirculated condition. It has great detail and lustrous silver color. The red velvet presentation box is pristine and sturdy. This interesting set would make a curious addition to any collection of California Gold coins or tokens.
