    Description

***FREIGHT WILL BE COMBINED ON MULTIPLE BAR TOOL PURCHASES IF SHIPPED TOGETHER ****
Just outside of Philadelphia there used be a Major WW II aircraft factory owned by Brewster Aircraft. Aside from having their one series of modestly successful aircraft including the Bermuda and Buckaneer, they had sub contracts from Vought and BF Goodyear to fab and sub assemble their Corsair aircraft.
When the Navy purchased the factory as a test facility in the late 40's it became the Johnsville Naval Air Test Center, which has since closed. But when Brewster sold the plant it also sold most all of the production equipment since the Navy didn't want it. When I started my binge of building aluminum homebuilts I was lucky enough to stumble onto a ton of the old equiipment through the esate of the Brewster purchasing agent - Mr. Sheppard.  Among 3 tons of thse pneumatic tools and associated partsa tooling - I purchased bucking bars in 5 gallon pail quanities. Needless to say I have a tremendous assortment of profesioal / mass production aircraft fabrication tools and parts, includng at last count over 560 refurbished and polished, the most diverse assortment available anywhere in the world, with every shape, weight, and size to fit ever tight space you have ever encountered.
With these tools I have build a Bede 5 Jet, Brokaw Bullet and a Swearingen SX-300. Well I have gone out of the building business and spend my time now flying. So I am liquidating many of my tools. These bucking bars are the finest in the world - not just cast - rolled steel like the ones you buy today - these are made hardened steel, made at a time when quality was critical and they knew how to make tools. Each of thes bars has been sandblasted - painted with Rustoleum, the working surfaces milled in a Bridgeport, and then polished. You could literally shave in ther reflection of the working surfaces. Most bars have as many as 2 - 3 working surfaces , and if you want to add surfaces, just belt sand the new surface and polish it with wax or rouge. Your total satisfaction is absolutely guarenteed, less freight.
This is a NEW - I didn't even clean it up for the pictures, still has protective grease on shaver - it is brand new - high speed 12,000 RPM Heavy Duty Bi-Ped Rivet Shaver to be used on AN-470 / Humpy Head rivets to prep them for removal or for appropraite clearances.  The rigidly mounted Bi - Ped /  Stabilizer legs and the center line locking collar ( see pics for square tool collar in neck ) allow for 0.0005 " ( that's right 1/2 thouth ) accuracy of set up so results are guarenteed.  The Bi- Ped legs are padded to protect Aluminum skins and are spring loaded to " Bounce / Spring Back " vertically & accurately after shaving and they have bottom out from mechanic compessing against the springs, and releashing the downward pressure.  This avoids a slight " Whoops " at the end that would put a smile cut in the aluminum skin and destroy the whole flap etc. or require a 337 patch.  Specs are 4# - 4 oz. total weight - and less then 6" overall length.  The exhaust air is ported internally through the tool for cooling and exhaust at the front to BLOW away all the chips while shaving - pretty neat idea which makes this tool 10 X superior to anything else you'll find on the Internet.
A much Superior design compared to wheel shavers that have no support and are designed for salavage work - not aircraft / car fabcrication.  Dual row of ball bearings plus the spring loaded legs ensure smooth / vibration free operation.  Can be used to shave aluminum, steel, or stainless rivets with the NEW 3/4' diameter cutter that is included.  The orignal Catalog cut on this tool rates it at 1 HP.  The tool was made in the 50's by Aircraft Tools, Inc in LA ( NOT the ATS - supplu that we have today. )  Then the tool was rebranded by Sky Products in Ottsville, PA which was just a 3 person company that distributed high end pneumayic tools.  Owner was Mr. sheppard, Chief Purchasing Agent for Brewster Aircraft at the old NAS Johnsville site when it was Brewster.
Listed as AT429ER in their catalog and called out as a Heavy Duty Micro Miller.  I will included a xerox of their ogignal Catalog page that has all the specs. AND A CUT AWAY DRAWING OF THE INTERNALS.
NO SPECIAL TOOLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE TOOL SET-UP OR OPERATION - USE STANDARD BOX WRENCHES TO SET UP THE BI-PED SPRING BACK LEGS AND TO INSTALL - REMOVE THE CUTTER.  ADD A LITLE OIL TO THE AIR INLET AND LET HER SHAVE AT 12,000 RPM.
