Custom made wood Shea Stadium NY Mets Bleacher Seat, with Laser Engraved Insignias, and Custom Last Season Shea plaque. Bench measures approx 26" across, is 18 1/2 inches High and about 10" Deep
The Bench is made from Authentic Shea Stadium Bleacher Plank... from the former home of the NY Mets Shea Stadium. The Bleachers were installed @ Shea by the Pepsi Picnic Area in the early 80's, and were removed in 2008 during the dismantling of Shea. I basically purchased all the Bleacher sections upon Shea Stadium's demise. I'm constantly working on different designs, and also sell Custom Aluminum Leg options, so be sure to check out my other auctions, or contact me.
This wooden one though, is such a cool option if putting it in your office, etc.
I've sold many Benches, Pieces, and Shelves over the past 12 years or so. My inventory is starting to dwindle, so if you've been watching these, you may want to grab one while you still can.
Most of the Bleacher Seat number 12, is still intact, which is pretty Amazing as
so many were pealed off by fans in the last days of Shea. The Hologram serial number is also readable, and you can go to MLB Authentication Database to verify that it is indeed a Shea Stadium Bleacher Seat. No worries though as i will provide you with that Letter from the MLB Site.
I will also provide a copy of the Letter that the Mets provided stating that you purchased a Bench from the "Pepsi" Picnic Area, so that ads a nice touch. I laminated these letters so that they stay nice.
Bench piece has some fading, scratching/
discoloration
as expected having been exposed to the elements 24 X 7 X 365 at the Big Shea, but overall is in excellent shape.
As the shipping on these, due to size and weight of box, can get a bit expensive...so i do also offer a local pickup option in Somerset County, New Jersey.
Don't watch this one for too long as it's sure not going to last.
